Yesterday, marked the beginning of the 50/60 celebration squaw valley has in store for this upcoming winter season. Skiing and snowboarding kicked off the season at Squaw Valley USA with a foot of fresh snow. Around 2:30 JT Holmes base jumped from the top of the tram car. The Vibe is good here in Squaw Valley and were all hoping for an amazing winter.

". . . JT Holmes will be BASE jumping from the Cable Car at approx. 2:15 pm. If nothing else, come out to see this historic legal BASE jump. JT is jumping from right below Tower 1, and his jump is a tribute to Shane. Last March, Nancy asked Shane to jump for 09-10 60^th Anniversary Opening Day. She has asked JT to jump in his place, in his honor, and to celebrate 60 crazy F-ing years."
